From Embedded Devices to Intelligent Cloud Platforms

I architect and engineer end-to-end connected systems, bringing together embedded technologies, communication networks, cloud infrastructure, and artificial intelligence to create secure, scalable, and intelligent solutions.

Expertise

Six Disciplines. One Connected Ecosystem.

My work brings together embedded systems, IoT, networking, cloud infrastructure, software engineering, and AI. From embedded Linux gateways communicating over industrial protocols to secure cloud-connected platforms delivering intelligent analytics, I engineer solutions that seamlessly integrate every layer of the technology stack.

IoT & Embedded Systems

Connected devices from microcontroller firmware to embedded Linux gateways, and the protocols that link them to the cloud.

Building Automation

Gateway software that collects data from building automation systems and delivers it securely to cloud analytics.

Networking

Thirteen years designing and running enterprise, multi-site and hospitality networks, from fibre to firewalls to voice.

Cloud & DevOps

Running services on infrastructure I control: Linux servers, containers and automated delivery pipelines.

Software Engineering

Backend services, APIs and distributed systems, with a strong preference for Python and well-documented code.

Artificial Intelligence

Bringing intelligence to connected systems: on-device inference, anomaly detection and voice-driven interaction.

Projects

Featured work

Research · Ph.D. completed 2023

Phone of Things (PoT)

My Ph.D. research: a standardised bridge between IoT and VoIP that lets people control connected devices through ordinary phone calls and voice commands.
In development

IoTOcean

IoTOcean is my independent technology brand: six connected-systems products, from router fleets to BACnet testing, built with one engineering approach.
In development

MikroBrain

One place to run every MikroTik router you manage: fleet inventory, configuration and private WireGuard connectivity across sites.
In development

FleetifAI

Fleet management for Linux edge devices: run Docker applications, reach every gateway over secure WireGuard links, and supervise devices remotely.
In development

BACOcean

A virtual laboratory for BACnet testing that simulates controllers, networks, Trend Logs and fault scenarios.
In development

PXEfAI

Automated operating-system deployment and device onboarding with intelligent PXE/iPXE network boot provisioning.

Background

From telecom networks to intelligent buildings

I’m an IoT and building automation engineer. I build the software that connects field devices, networks and cloud platforms, from gateway drivers that speak BACnet and Modbus to the pipelines that carry their data securely to the cloud.

My path runs through thirteen years of network and communications engineering, a Ph.D. in IoT, and hands-on work on smart-building gateways. That mix means I’m comfortable across firmware, embedded Linux, networking, cloud integration and data visualisation, and I like problems that cross those boundaries.
